Harvesting : Pick marjoram anytime after the plants are 3 inches tall.

Overwintering of herbs

Basil, dill, and parsley are annual plants and therefore can only be used for one season. New seeds will have to be sown in the next spring.

Place cloches or gardening fleece over all other herbs in late autumn and mulch (grit or bark can be used) the crowns.

Bay tree should be brought in for the winter, or placed in a sheltered position.
